The German text above is binding. The following is a translation.

1. Controller

The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other national data protection laws is:

Aydin Mokhtary
Boockholtzstraße 11
22880 Wedel
Germany
Phone: +49 175 9710761
Email: kontakt@mokhtary.de

2. Cookies and storage in the browser

This website sets no cookies. It uses neither technically necessary cookies nor analytics or marketing cookies. It also does not use localStorage or sessionStorage. A consent banner under § 25 TDDDG is therefore not required.

3. No tracking, no embedded third-party services

The page does not embed tools that transfer personal data to third parties when you open it. Appointment booking is an external link, see section 7. In particular, the site does not use:

  • Google Analytics, Matomo, Plausible or similar analytics tools
  • Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, TikTok Pixel, Google Ads conversion tracking
  • Google Fonts or font CDNs (all typefaces come from the operating system)
  • embedded YouTube, Vimeo, Google Maps or social media players
  • external scripts from content delivery networks

4. Access to the website: server log files

When you open this website, my hosting provider automatically processes technically necessary access data in server log files. This is required to deliver the site and keep it secure.

The following data is typically processed:

  • IP address of the requesting device (shortened or anonymised where possible)
  • date and time of access
  • name and URL of the file requested
  • amount of data transferred
  • HTTP status code
  • browser and version, operating system
  • referrer URL (the page visited before)

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the stable, error-free and secure operation of the website.

Storage period: Log data is deleted after 14 days at the latest, unless it is needed to investigate attacks on the IT infrastructure.

5. Hosting

The website is hosted by:

Hostinger International Ltd.
61 Lordou Vironos Street
6023 Larnaca, Cyprus (EU)
hostinger.com

A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with Hostinger. The server location was deliberately set to Lithuania. Delivery of the website and processing of the server log files therefore take place only inside the European Union. Hosting does not transfer data to countries outside the EU.

Further information on processing by Hostinger is in their privacy policy: hostinger.com/privacy-policy.

6. Contact by email

If you send me a message by email (directly or through the mailto: link on the website), I process your details to answer your enquiry and to prepare a possible collaboration.

Data processed: name, email address, content of the message, and any further details you choose to provide.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (steps before a contract, at your request) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering your enquiry).

Storage period: Enquiries are deleted once they are no longer needed, at the latest if the contact does not lead to a contract, or after statutory retention periods expire.

Email handling: The address kontakt@mokhtary.de is operated by Hostinger (address in section 5). In this role Hostinger is a processor under Art. 28 GDPR, and a processing agreement is in place. The email infrastructure is operated inside the EU.

7. Appointment booking via Google Calendar (external link)

For an introductory call I link to my booking page in Google Calendar. The page is not embedded. No data is sent to Google until you click the link.

If you open the link and book an appointment, Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, processes your details: first name, last name, email address, topic, chosen time, and technical connection data. Your phone number only if you fill in that field. I receive the same details so I can prepare and hold the conversation. The call is held on Google Meet by default.

A transfer to Google LLC in the United States is possible. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The transfer relies on the adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR).

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (arranging an appointment at your request).

Storage period on my side: I delete appointment data six months after the conversation at the latest, unless a contract follows.

Alternative: If you do not want to use Google, send me an email.

Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy

8. Recipients of data

Personal data is not passed on to third parties, except to the processors named here (hosting, email), to Google if you use the appointment booking yourself (section 7), and where the law requires disclosure.

9. Transfers to countries outside the EU

Hosting and email run only inside the European Union (server location: Lithuania). A transfer to a country outside the EU is possible only if you use the Google appointment booking. Details are in section 7.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have in particular the following rights:

  • Art. 15 GDPR: access to the data stored about you
  • Art. 16 GDPR: correction of inaccurate data
  • Art. 17 GDPR: erasure
  • Art. 18 GDPR: restriction of processing
  • Art. 20 GDPR: data portability
  • Art. 21 GDPR: objection to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR
  • Art. 7 (3) GDPR: withdrawal of consent for the future

An informal message to kontakt@mokhtary.de is enough to exercise these rights.

11. Right to lodge a complaint

Under Art. 77 GDPR you may lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. For the controller in Wedel, the authority is:

Unabhängiges Landeszentrum für Datenschutz Schleswig-Holstein (ULD)
Holstenstraße 98
24103 Kiel
Germany
Phone: +49 431 988-1200

Web: datenschutzzentrum.de

12. No automated decision-making

There is no automated decision-making, including profiling, under Art. 22 GDPR.

13. Updates to this privacy policy

This privacy policy reflects the current state. Further development of the website, or changes in the law or official guidance, may make an update necessary. The current version is always available at /privacy.
